To be successful in multi level marketing (MLM) it is a good idea to try to get in on the ground floor level. The closer you are to the top of the networking chain, the more money you can make. However, it is equally important to stick to your goals and your work ethic once you get started. There are thousands of MLM home based business opportunities out there for you to choose from. Just look up 'income opportunity' in your favorite search engine and you will be bombarded with a plethora of multi level marketing schemes. These networking schemes are great if you really work at them and the potential for a residual income is real. The basic premise is that you will sign up for the money making program under one person. That person will become your 'sponsor'. You will then become the sponsor of the person that signs up under you, etc. The whole tree of sponsorships is sometimes refered to as a matrix. In a binary matrix you are only allowed to have two people directly under you in the matrix while each of them are also allowed to have only two. This pattern causes an effect that is known as spillover. Spillover can be your friend. In a binary MLM matrix with automatic spillover, people who are further down the chain can get people signed up under them automatically when the sponsors who are higher up in the chain get new people to sign up. Because they already have their two people under them, the new sign-ups automatically get sent down the ladder to the next available spot. This is called spillover. With spillover, you can get people signed up under you without even doing any recruiting.
